Anastasios Rentoumis is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NGO “Alliance for Integrated Care” – AfIC. His Bachelor is in Biochemistry from the University of Coventry (UK), and holds Postgraduate Diplomas (MSc) in Medical Biochemistry and Health Services Management from the University of Brunel and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). He has several years of experience as a health services researcher and healthcare and e-health project manager in Greece, the Balkans and Europe. His professional and research work is in the subject of Social Innovation, particularly in the fields of e-health and m-health, in integrated care and in the transformation of health systems through the promotion of new roles of health professionals, behavioral change and personalized care. In the past, he has worked as a Project Manager for the charity organization of the Catholic Church of Caritas Athens for the refugee crisis, as CEO of the Psychiatric Hospital of Chania in Crete, as a Special Advisor at the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity and in several EU projects such as SmartCare, Like stin Ygeia, SEFAC and UHCE. At the same time, he is the development manager for VIDAVO, an innovative e-health SME and evaluator for EU projects such as Mig-Healthcare. He has published over 12 scientific articles in recognized international journals such as Advances in Therapy, European Journal of Clinical Investigation, BMC Pediatrics and BMC Public Health, as well as presentations at many international scientific conferences.
