The challenges in management of medical devices will be the focus of MedTech Conference 2021, which will totally virtual through the innovative platform LiveOn.The president of AfIC, Mr. Anastasios Rentoumis will be one of the presenters and will present the innovative H2020 project VALUECARE.
VALUECARE is focusing on the design, implementation and evaluation of personalized, integrated care services for seniors with multiple chronic conditions based on the values they cherish the most (clinical, lifestyle, social, psychological) so that they are able to live independently in the community with dignity.
Moreover, in VALUECARE we aim to provide proof of concept related to the value created per euro spent per patient and to support the transition to value based reimbursment models for providers. We also aim to achieve, more satisfaction from healthcare professionals and informal caregivers, better quality of life and less burnout. The last aim is to improve the sustainability of health care systems across Europe.
In the Greek Pilot of Palaio Faliro, VALUECARE is implemented jointly by the Athens Medical Center and AfIC and further focused on patients with T2DM and Hypertension.
